Father Abraham

Now, we here at Squeegie get a good amount of music dropped in our mailboxes on the daily, and it’s mostly what you would expect: lots of electro bangers, dubstep and the like. So when I spotted something from Father Abraham in my mailbox, it was a refreshing change. Father Abraham, or Abraham Kinkopf, is an underground MC and producer from Boston, and the dude has a sound that’s quite a bit different from our usual Squeegie fare. He described himself in his email as, “DOOM meets Beasties meets the Books, somehow”. His beats are interesting, to say the least, and he’s got great flow (reminds me a bit of a less-depressed Atmosphere). His album “I Am Not a Sailor I Am the Captain” is available for free download on his website, so check it out, and show our boy some love! Here are my two favorite tracks off the album. Enjoy.
