me get it by de pound

When I spotted Chrome Kids‘ feature on The Widdler, there was one track that caught my eye: a remix of the 2006 track “Come Around”, by Collie Budz (pictured above). Now, Collie Buddz isn’t exactly my cup of tea (he’s sort of a less known Sean Paul with a little more reggae to him and a lot more herb. And his real name? Colin Parker), but for some reason this track gets stuck in my head, and makes for fabulous dubstep remixes. Of course, it kind of makes sense, considering reggae, dubstep and — to quote Mr.Buddz, — “the sweet, sweet sensi” are pretty closely intertwined. Enjoy the Widdler’s remix, and I’ve included another dubstep take on the tune, coming from Squeegie favorite DZ. Dank.

the original is a fucking bomb. i listened to it in my car and bass was ripppppin. apparently he went to school for production and he makes his own beats. solid dubstep remixes as well, a bit more laid back but just as effective by the widdler.
