Recently, I’ve been spending lots of time recollecting Bassnectar’s set at Lollapalooza.  We did that huge, Best of Lolla, post back in mid August, but we left out some songs, ’cause obviously, we couldn’t hit them all.  These have been tugging my nostalgia strings lately, especially the first song in this post.  Got the 320 of this yesterday and almost passed out.  Was talking with Macgregor last night, as he is a well of all musical knowledge, and asked him about this track.  Apparently, it got big first when Rusko included it in his Essential Mix, and I agree.  That’s where I first heard it for sure.  Numbernin6 laces some serious filth into my favorite Prodigy track, “Breathe.”  Absolutely massive.  Had to reduce the quality for ethics and shit, but as soon as this gets released, BUY IT.

Next, a Bassnectar and Ill Gates remix of a Malente track that tingles my spine.  Lions. Rawr.  This is a remix off a whole EP of Lions remixes.  Most of them are great.  Head over to Juno to grab it!

And lastly, I know this one was posted over at rub-a-dub (so thanks to you guys!) some time ago, but it’s a huge track.  I love dubstep that remixes reggae.  Especially when it happens to be one of my favorite artists whose track is being remixed.  Damian Marley’s “It Was Written” gets some deep bass and a dark dub melody that you have to love.  This has been on repeat for me.  Chasing Shadows is not a name I am too familiar with, but they come from Bristol, UK, have been in the game for a little over a year, and will playing throughout the UK until December.
