Its been a while since I downloaded a mixtape that was largely filled with solid hip hop tracks from artists I had never heard of. Trackstar the DJ‘s latest, “Do For Self” definitely qualifies. I downloaded it because it had Black Milk and Guilty Simpson, two of my favorite MCs, but then I listened through, hearing artists like Gotta Be Karim, Black Spade, Hollyweerd and Random Axe, which is a trio consisting of Black Milk, Sean Price, and Guilty Simpson.
