As one of quite a few Squeegie writers who make music, I feel that the time has finally come to post one of my own creations. I would like to note, however, that I am very much new to this whole music production gig, as I only got into Logic and music production at the beginning of this summer, having been inspired by Poppa Glock and Macgregor churnin’ out choons. That said, here’s my remix- I started with dubstep in mind for the drums, but the track quickly morphed into something with an almost jazzy vibe to it- hence the name. Anyway, it’s not quite done in terms of mixing and mastering and all, but I figured I’d throw it on the web to get some feedback. Enjoy, hopefully, and let me know what you think of it.

September 14th, 2009 at 12:09my only suggestion is to occasionally give a brother a break from the lyrics and hit us with a catchy jazz hook, or maybe mix the jazz with a dubstep beat. it just needs to get broken up a little bit. I’d love to hear somethin remixed with the Bad Plus… could be difficult and a little out-there, or it could be genius.

and yeah a dubstep beat with a prominent snare would be wicked.
and maybe a sub destroying low frequency bass wobble.

thanks for the props- yea, I was thinking of adding a synth bass line, but i feel like that could ruin the jazz vibe- who knows, I’ll give it a try.
