Hip-hop, underground especially, would not be where it is today without Del the Funky Homosapien (which is apparently how he’s spelling it these days, I was always fond of “Tha Funkee”, personally). Ever since Hieroglyphics hit the scene in the mid/late nineties, Del has been consistently bringing solid hip-hop to us on a regular basis. He even went so far as to pull a Radiohead/Girl Talk/etc. on his most recent album “Funk Man (The Stimulus Package)”, giving an entire full-length album away for free on his website. And not only is it free, it’s damn good. Peep “Get it right now!”, my favorite track on the album, and then check out “Flashback”, a dope track Del just put out with Tame One in which both MCs wax poetic on the golden days of hip-hop.
