New heat from German electronic duo Modeselektor today, created for a German short film preaching the woes of materialism entitled Art & Cash, from which the song takes its title. The song doesn’t really have much to do with that, as there are no vocals, but it’s classic Modeselektor all the way through, with choppy gated synths and a driving beat pumping the track along. Give the video a peep on youtube as well, it’s dope. Props to Voules Random on the tip.

loooooooove this track–thanks for the post!
November 13th, 2009 at 02:10When I saw Modeselektor a few years ago at Coachella there were four (or even five) of them on stage…..can you explain?
November 27th, 2009 at 14:08could be a couple of different explanations: lots of groups employ performers to tour with them and augment their live sets (for instance, Tek One has a live drummer in his dubstep shows). also, you could have seen moderat, which is modeselektor and apparat. did one of the other guys look like this?

also there’s a group of german artists associated with modeselektor that could have been there, including siriusmo and ellen allien. other than that, who knows. modeselektor is just the two though.
