I’m a bit late on this one, I’ll admit. Julian Casablancas, lead singer of alt-rock band The Strokes, recently released his first solo album, and it’s really interesting. The track “Tourist” especially; when I first listened I was pretty surprised to hear some strong elements of hip hop in Casablancas’ tune. I’m impressed with the directions he took. Give the album a listen if’n you be diggin the track.
