Courtesy of the quality scenexscience blog, I am thoroughly excited about a new find in the garage-dubstep-techno niché that Joy Orbison seemed to have on lock last year. In fact, this guy George Fitzgerald has a release set up on Orbison’s Doldrums label coming soon, more info to follow in the coming days. What Fitzgerald does marvelously is take the melodic side of dubstep out of context, a la Orbison, transforming it into something that hits you as brand new.
