it’s like clockwork
You don’t need an expert to tell you that Brick Squad are probably the most prolific rap group in the South right now. The output ratio of free mixtapes to albums is around 10:1, making it almost impossible to keep up with all the great tracks both lyrically and instrumentally. These past two weeks saw a great surge from two of the crew’s members, OJ da Juiceman and Waka Flaka Flame. Both artists launched new mixtapes, one with an especially awesome cover to play on Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange”. “Orange” is Bouldercrest Shawty’s answer to my favorite rap song of last year, Gucci’s “Lemonade“, with a central focus on everything being orange.
Definitely the up and coming member of the crew, Flaka flows about his steady grind in the grand pursuit of an Italian automobile. Anyone looking for some motivation in their lives needs to listen to this song right now.
