boxing day
Up-and-coming Croydon dubsteppers L.A. Boxers dropped some love in the box recently, in the form of a delicious remix of Calvin Harris‘ “Flashback”. Not as thumping as some of their previous work, but definitely still worth a listen. The Boxers preserved Calvin Harris’ vibes perfectly, while adding their own blend of dubstep to the mix. The track would serve wonderfully as a hip-hop beat for someone like Curren$y; it’s all airy synths and thumping kick. (As always, the Croydon boys have been kind enough to provide us with the full 320. Cheers!)
Calvin Harris – Flashback (L.A. Boxers Dubstep Remix)
On a bit of a different note, Philly electro-jam band The Disco Biscuits sent us some new stuff in promotion of their new album “Planet Anthem”. The first track is an original, which sees Bisco taking a bit of a different route than they had previously; the tune sounds more crafted for a club dancefloor than a hippy festival. After that comes the longest remix I’ve heard in a very long while, with The Juan Maclean‘s ten minute long take on Bisco’s “You and I”, from their “Widgets” EP. Enjoy those tunes, and keep an eye out for “Planet Anthem”, which drops February 2nd.
