I’ve always been a huge fan of Siriusmo’s productions; his style is incredibly varied (one day a wobble, the next day a trumpet) and he always makes sure to have the subtle bits to tracks that truly complete them for me. BreakBot just released an EP (buy it, it’s great) and Siriusmo provided a fantastic remix. I frequently argue semantics and this is no different. To me, this is a song, not a track (if that makes any sense). Nice vocals, development, etc. make for a great song that I can’t stop listening to. Sometimes a song doesn’t have to bang to grab my attention (sometimes). Thanks to Chemical Jump for the tip.

Ever since Dizzee Rascal dropped ‘Boy In Da Corner’ in 2003 (waddup Ben Firke) I have had a very soft spot for grime music and the scene’s artists. The scene has had an incredibly interesting development from a very ragtag genre with some ghetto ass beats (i.e. Dizzee Rascal – Jezebel) that I loved for what they were, to the newer, far more advanced stuff (i.e. Wiley & Chew Fu – Take That). Along with that, the artists have also started collaborating with a wider array of artists and that brings us to today’s song.

Wiley, as noted on Chemical Jump, decided to do a remake of the White Town song ‘Your Woman’. The track drops along with remixes on February 21st but until then enjoy this delicious Hervé rework. Some really nice sounds combined with a pretty female voice and Wiley just cannot go wrong.

Yeah, I know, every blog has posted it/will post it. Whatever, go conformity. Fever Ray’s new song, as remixed by Crookers. Thanks Electric Zoo + Chemical Jump.
