modeselektor

New heat from German electronic duo Modeselektor today, created for a German short film preaching the woes of materialism entitled Art & Cash, from which the song takes its title.  The song doesn’t really have much to do with that, as there are no vocals, but it’s classic Modeselektor all the way through, with choppy gated synths and a driving beat pumping the track along.  Give the video a peep on youtube as well, it’s dope.  Props to Voules Random on the tip.

Moderat, the über-combo of German electronic duo Modeselektor and Apparat, are apparently coming to Chicago.  I very much hope to attend.  Here are two tracks off of their EP.  The first is a melodic electro song, with one of Modeselektor’s signature bass lines.  The second is a bit of a heavier cut, with heavy bass and deep pumping synth, with a bit of a dark, dub tone to it.

Moderat – A New Error

Moderat – No. 22
