what are you?!

Whoa, too many amazing tracks to keep up with.  It would be to your great benefit to download these!! Here’s my attempt at keeping up, not all of these were made and mastered last night, sorry ;-)

By far my favorite of this post comes to us from none other than Nero.  I had to reduce the quality, for this little bit of magic is getting a proper release coming up on the 26th of this month.  Mark the date and pick up your fresh 320 as soon as possible.  Sometimes the music really does have to do the talking, download now!!!

Nero – Innocence (128)

Nujax have returned to the Squeegie inbox, much to my delight, and to your’s.  This time devastating the classic Fukkk Offf track, “Rave is King.”  Little beeps and bleeps can go a long way.  Enjoy, always big ups guys.

Fukkk Off – Rave is King (Nujax Remix)

I was told, when I stumbled upon the download link for this, that I would die if I didn’t have a listen.  Like some lame chain letter that promises wrath for eternity, I knew I wouldn’t die if I just kept scrolling, but I also thought perhaps I am missing out on something ‘uuuuge.  Dub Mantis is 17 years old.  He’s from the UK and started producing last August.  I am very impressed.  The track is a good n’ deep warbler with a nice bit of heavy bass.  I am very sure I could have carried on in my life without clicking that mouse, but by the same token, I am very happy that I clicked that mouse.  Enjoy and show this lad some myspace love, 5,000 hits does not represent his talent.

Dub Mantis – God

Now I’m not sure if I am putting myself in another “Fireflies” situation, but I will admit, “Rude Boy” is another one of those catchy pop songs I enjoy.  And now there are amazing remixes of it.  Absolutely amazing.  I’m talking about TC’s and Chrispy’s.  Both are so tasty it’s hard to believe, in my humble opinion of course.  Check the TC one now, I might end up posting the Chrispy one later.  So good, damn.  Check it out now.

Rihanna – Rude Boy (TC Remix)

6blocc is very good.  Consistently amazing in fact.  Here is proof.  He’s been in it for a while, and still not as popular as I would think someone with his level of talent would become.  If you feel compelled to download just one of these songs on this post, and are looking for some deeeeeeep, but more or less easy to handle music, you would be wise to grab this one.  Props to the chocolate drank for the download.

6blocc – Jeep Music

The XX are no stranger to probably 1/2 blogs on hypem.  Not only are they very good to begin with, but their music just seems to inspire people, regardless of “genre,” to make wild remixes.  That said, here you go.  MartyParty hail from NYC and have some pretty great stuff coming for 2010.  Check out the ‘space.

The XX – Infinity (Marty Party Remix)

I got tired, but expect another big one soon :)  Thanks for reading, friends.

spring!

Some tracks to bring in this exciting season of spring.  I dare say they’ll make you spring up as well.  Here we go.  This is a big time mixed bag and a lot from the mailbox.

First up, an absolute thumper of experimental goodness.  Amon Tobin is a new name here on Squeegie, and for no good reason.  He has been in the game forever and making trip-hop/glitch/IDM since the beginning of those “genres.”  Gotta give props where they’re due and this is a producer to respect.  Enjoy this remix of Noisia’s boomer “Machine Gun.”  I don’t know why I’m only hearing this now, but enjoy it nonetheless.

Noisia – Machine Gun (Amon Tobin Remix)

And now some mailbag goodies:

Nujax just finished this remix of Afrojack’s “Bangduck” and I think I enjoy it a lot.  Then again, I love as much energy and noise as possible in a song, and I can guarantee that you’ll find energy in this one.  Give it a try.  My only problem with Bangduck is how similar it is to many of Afrojack’s other tracks.  No doubt they all go hard, but one sound can only be manipulated in so many ways.  I’m expecting (hoping…) Afrojack can pull out something new, I do have faith, but did you hear his Whatchu Say remix? yikes.  But as always big ups Nujax, keep doing what you do.

Afrojack – Bangduck (Nujax Remix)

DMNDAYS will no longer be producing their madness under that alias.  Instead, let me introduce you to Juggernaut, and what better way to inaugurate the change than with something filthy.  Here you go.  Big ups!

Juggernaut – The Vincent Price Is Right

Got something new from a UK producer I think shows some great promise.  I don’t know exactly how to classify his sound, and I have a feeling he wants it that way.  I really dig this song chilling or relaxing, but would be interested to hear it out on a big system, it’s got some movable parts for sure.  Give it a listen, I’m hoping to keep in touch with Dan Boadan in the future to see where his sound goes!

Dan Boadan – Technetium

I was only going to post the above, but I was listening to this while writing the post and decided that that was a mistake. Enjoy this one too.

Dan Boadan – Promethium (ReEdit)

Got big news in from BMKLTSCH RCRDS via Mike Mago the other day.  3 new EPs have dropped, and each is full of all the dancefloor mayhem you’d expect to find from these guys.  You can find all the tracks for purchase by clicking here.  Here’s just a little taste to wet your appetite.  This is a big release so give the support they deserve!  D.Fine goes big here!

Boemklatsch – Noisy (D.FineRemix)

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I found this song by searching “Eifel 65 blue dubstep remix” or something to that effect on youtube, yet I have to say my day was made.  This song, if I had to choose one, defined 5th grade for me, which is entirely silly in its own way, but that made reigniting my love for this song pretty easy.  Plus, J.Rabbit doesn’t make it too hard to fall back in love with this one.  Well, that is, if you are like me and enjoy just a big song:  this is large.

Eifel 65 – Blue (J.Rabbit and ObsidianRemix)

Yee.  Hadn’t heard anything new from The Squatters for a little while, and they came back with some excellence.  Seriously, get at this immediately, I’m a big fan.  This and two other tracks are being given away in delicious free 320 in honor of Kissy Sell Out’s new label, San Fran High.  You can pick up the other free tracks, here.

The Squatters – On Fire

nu-stuff

Nujax, two silly Canadian fellows, sent us along a very nice track today and I wanted to share it with you. It’s got a tribal vibe to it with a nice vocal sample and some groovy synths, what’s not to like? Show em some love if you’re up in Canada hit up their shows in Montreal that are coming up.

Nujax – Beat Gon’ Boom

these could make a brick wall dance

another long post. wooo

16Mikix the Cat is my favorite alias of all the DJs out there.  He makes some dope music.  Including this tasty treat that I have yet to find in 320, but will please you nonetheless.  A nice buildup to a chaotic drop that moves into some bass that would shatter ill-prepared glass.  The beat drop at 59 seconds in kills me.

Malente – I Like It (Mikix The Cat Remix)

Yes indeed, Nujax have come back to us with another goodie.  This one is not like the rest of their tunes, but not in a discouraging way.  Chilled out and electro-y.  Reminds me of December of last year.  Check it.

Phoenix – Fences (Nujax Remix)

And now for something wonky to get your groove on to.  Lazy Bass hails from the lone star state, yep that’s right Texas.  Don’t know too much about him, but I’m watching out for him.  Everything I’ve heard from him definitely inspires some form of dancing.

Lazy Bass – Somethings Wrong

And lastly, got a song from Peppermint to get up her.  Admittedly, I know nothing about Peppermint.  But the moment I heard this one, I was moving, so, ya, do the same.  Slightly reminiscent of “The Reward is Cheese.”  bleep, bleep, rumble, bleep.

Peppermint – The Freshmaker (Original Mix)

submissions and stuff

5057_103142417044_103100497044_2541754_827094_nGot some tracks to get up here today.  Two very exciting submissions.  Highbloo and Nujax deliver some pleasure, each in their own way.  Highbloo, who has recently come out of nowhere with some crazy talent, sent over his new tune, “Ouchhh,” with the subject line “BANGER.”  Not what I would call a banger, because that word is reminiscent of hard-pounding electro, but it certainly bumps.

Highbloo – Ouchhh !!!

Second song is by Nujax who have swiftly taken up several permanent spots in my recently played.  Once again, they didn’t let down.  I love remixes that stay at least somewhat true to the original.  And I love this song to begin with. Check it out.

Dead Prez – Hip Hop (Nujax Remix) UPDATED

And here’s a new Hostage remix I’ve been digging.  Love any song that sounds different these days and this one definitely has an interesting feel to it.  I like when he gets all dubby.

Dirty Basement ft. MC Freeflow – Get Messy (Hostage Remix)

dat new nu

nujaxGetting a new track from Nujax is like opening a present that you’ve been expecting for quite some time.  Whatever is in the box is a surprise, but it’s a gift for you so you know it’s going to be good.  We had ‘em up on Squeegie a few weeks back and I’ve been eagerly awaiting round 2.  And they didn’t disappoint.  ”Shake it down” is already a pretty funky tune, but Nujax add some spice and really make it a party pleaser.  They are working on a bunch more tracks that should be out before 2009 closes, be excited.  Get at below, 320 y’all.

Laidback Luke & A-Trak – Shake it Down (Nujax Remix)

hi friends.  Got two artists from the box I wanna get up here on Squeegie today.  The first goes by the name Killabit.  He’s fairly new on the scene, having started up about five months ago, but I really dig what he’s putting down.  Coming to us from Manchester and born in the UK’s healthy dance music culture, he says that he likes to draw from all subgenres in the Breakbeat and Electro arenas, but mainly focuses on fidget, dubstep, and DnB.  Definitely good things coming here, big ups!

First Remix ever, pretty impressive:

Lee Mortimer – This Is Real Shit (Killabits Virtual Turd Remix)

Reallllly loving this one:

B. Rich – Make Me Dance (KILLABIT Remix)

And its dubstep version is equally pleasing, but in another way

B. Rich – Make Me Dance (KILLABIT Dubstep Remix)

Okay, next up, Nujax.  Nujax are very very good.  Brookah texted me yesterday asking if I had read their email, I replied no, he told me to do that quickly and that they are right up my alley.  And god, he was correct.  These guys are making a ruckus in the Montreal scene, which is already thriving and lively.  So look out!  They have a North America tour in the works and an EP release date that’s TBA at the moment.  Big ups guys! I know these tracks have been blogged before, but I’m working with what they sent along. Enjoy.

Nujax – Super Duper Fly (Original)

Major Lazer – Zumbi (Nujax Remix)
