put the coffee on: Cajmere – Percolator 2010

This track has been a staple of Chicago house ever since it came out in 1992. It’s been re-vamped and mastered for this year, and includes a pack of remixes from Riva Starr, Major Lazer, Gant Man, and Claude VonStroke (lawwwwwwddddamercy) among others. Hear the CVS mix exclusively on URB for now, and stamp your calendars for the 30th of August to pick up the full release.

you know it’s good when

1238770272Never have really fallen in love with Riva Starr.  I always thought his productions were good, and I definitely acknowledge his talent, but his songs never really reeled me in.  Of course, this all changes when you make a song that has a bass drop so huge that it is literally inaudible on laptop speakers, mine at least.  He’s known for that deep “minimal” bass, and really just out does himself this time.  Fun song that’s been around for a while, but I had to track it down, so woohoo thought I’d throw it up.  Mr. Starr gives it his signature danceability that would definitely have me in my own world on the floor.  Enjoy.

ahh hoo

Really excited about this up and coming French talent, R.I.V.E.R., whose tracks I found about doin’ some good ol’ e.r.o.l. foruming. Some great intelligent house with a solid groove and warbling synths holding the track together. This track has been charted by Teki Latex and had the support of some big names, so be sure to download and see what you think. Also props to discodust for a nice feature on him, along with another R.I.V.E.R. track you can pick up over there.
