S: What’s good? We’ll start with a little introduction. Who are you and where is your production headquarters located?
JU: Easy now squires! I’m JAYOU, currently residing in sunny Manchester, UK. I came up here to do the uni thing which I cut short last October, which is when I started taking production more seriously.
S: So when and how exactly did you get into production?
JU: Music’s always been a major part of my life. Since a young age I was playing violin and piano, but got tiresome of the lessons and the theory so gave it all up at the age of 16. Then, when my boy, Laney, showed me a drum and bass track he’d made on Reason a couple of summers ago, I was hooked. I knew this was what I wanted to do. After messing around on Ableton and Reason for a few months on and off, I finally decided to stop fucking around and went head first into it, grabbing myself a copy of Logic.
