Brand new remix from LA’s own, Them Jeans. This track is very tastefully done (like edible undies) and it really compliments the original. I have a feeling 2012 is gonna bring big things from this dude.

This week saw the continuation of Adult Swim‘s series of free music giveaways, with the release of Unclassified, a compilation in partnership with Scion A/V that showcases new and unreleased material from the likes of Kode9, SBTRKT, Starkey and xxxy.  Covering the kind of ground you might expect from such a roster, Unclassified offers a fairly comprehensive view of UK-centric bass music, ranging from the purple stylings of Ginz to the insistent drive of Burial‘s “Street Halo”.   Check out Dauwd‘s contribution below, and download all of Unclassified for free here.

What we have here is something special. A very tasteful remix of the amazing intro to “Kid A”, that is, until the bassline drops as if it’s laughing at the original. You can’t help but surrender to the swagger of the wobble. Sbtrkt made a name for himself in the last quarter of 09 and I believe his unique take on what’s interesting in dubstep right now should bode well for him in the future.
