hot submissions

l_3d68173d910166e5eed1d0f58b52da97Okay, this will begin another large post.  Was very excited to receive a submission from the guys who represent the young lad of Leeds,  Jsaxton (pictured above), who first caught my interest when I heard “Kick Snare Ganja Budha.”  They sent over an original of his and a deep remix of “Who’s Afraid of Detroit?” An I-can-feel-that-in-my-chest kind of sound is how to best describe these tunes.  Get at below.

Jsaxton – Try This On Scope

Claude Van Stroke – Whos Afraid Of Detroit (JSaxton’s Scared Remix)

B.RICH

Lowlife Inc. sent over the next couple of tunes.  Reppin’ Play Me Records, a new label out of New York, started by notable DJ’s, Reid Speed & Mark Subsonik, we’ve got some remixes of the Lea Luna track, “Leaving For Mars,” including a beast by B. Rich.  Check ‘em out.

Lea Luna – Leaving For Mars (Malo Remix)

Lea Luna – Leaving For Mars (DIno Remix)

Lea Luna – Leaving For Mars (B. Rich Remix 128)

Bonus:  Well, I sort of vowed not to post a La Roux remix, but what’s the point in that.  Just because there are tons around doesn’t make the good ones any less heavy.  And this is nuts.  So enjoy.  WoNK, on it as usual.  If you remember the Mightyfools remix of “Creepy,” well, this isn’t at that level, but similar sounds.  Still Legit.

La Roux – Bulletproof (Filthy Rehab Vs WoNK Remix)

WoNK it, WoNK it Good

Best news of the day just popped up on my screen.  WoNK, beloved electro-house producer hailing from the UK, happens to be a cute blonde, one of the few in the industry.  Her sound is exactly as her name describes: it’s wonk-y and wobble-y.  Classifying the sound beyond that is difficult and why I love it.  FIrst up, WoNK did a crazy remix of AC Slater’s “Up Against the Wall.”  Perhaps my favorite of hers:

AC Slater – Up Against the Wall Ft. Lismore (WoNK remix)

Next, another remix that’ll knock you upside the head:

Kyle Watson – Jack My Wobble (WoNK mix)

And a bonus track for the new listeners.  This next one has been around for a little while, but it’s just so wonderful…and “krunchie,” not to mention an original:

WoNK – Krunchie

She’s an excellent producer.  Get at her songs here.  Losing a few dollars is worth the support you’re giving these artists.

If you like what you hear, check out Young Nutz, of which WoNK is half, diXXie the other.  It seems that they came together at the beginning of this year to fuse their talents.  They’re doing a great job.  A bunch of their tracks are available via their myspace, but if you’re feeling a little lazy, here ya go.  Not your average song, diverse in its sounds:

Cold Blank – Fidgets Live In Small Houses (Young Nutz remix)

Enjoy.
